e Learning development is no more a rocket science. It is however the customization to client systems and our development environment which determine the success of a plan. We follow an interactive project development methodology that involves timely inputs, reviews and feedbacks from our customers. At a macro-level the project flow would be as follows:
- System study to analyze the development needs
- Functional specifications to document understanding: it is like a development blue print
- Design specifications helps us get to the finer details of graphic, media and software development; for a fresh design, it is an intensive phase where we make certain recommendations that are iteratively improved with client feedback; if it is an old design then it is more of understanding present client documents/ design specifications
- Development stage is where we do our content, media and software development; all the work in functional and design specifications stages form inputs to this stage; development is again broken down into micro-development modules where we try to put parallel development teams to increase productivity
- QA is rigorous; there is software testing, user specifications testing and functional specs testing to ensure a fault free delivery
- Client feedbacks are the most important and are weaved into the development stage where we request for periodic feedback to our work; we sometimes wait for milestone feedbacks before moving on to the next stage
